A Tribute To Our Favorite MSDS

Scheduling Coordinator!

Some Words In The Memory of Our Beloved Patrick Almberg!

Linda:

What can I say about Patrick?

He worked at MSDS for almost 20 years as our scheduling coordinator.

He loved talking with our clients and took his job seriously.

Patrick was a Type 2 Diabetic and had a rare form of arthritis.

He was in constant pain, but never took meds during work hours.
So many of our clients at one time or another during Pats time with us – would call worried that something was wrong.  We decided (he was always fine with anything I asked) that our clients were going to need to know he was a diabetic and if they heard in his voice any issues, they will tell him to call back after checking his sugar.  He did eventually come up with a fake sugar level of #129!  But we figured out that loophole he was using and our wonderful “bull dog” clients would tell him do it again Pat!  LOL.

What some did not know, is his level went so high (624) that he went into a walking seizure.  He was out from driving for 6 months.  He took it without an issue as he would never want to hurt anyone. So we all thank all of your who text and called me with concern.  The dental community has saved more lives than you can tell.  And this includes Patrick.

MSDS, we believe, gave him a sense of purpose.  And the constant work flow, help make the day go by quicker.

Who was this man called Pat?

Pat was the oldest brother of four.  A baseball catcher, an Eagle Scout. Before the Arthritis took hold of him at age 26, he played pool almost every week and a top contender at bowling.  He enjoyed his motorcycle and was amazing at poker. He was an avid reader of Stephen King and many other authors.

Although he never married, he was “Uncle Pat” to 5 nieces and 1 nephew who all loved him dearly.  He was the safe one you could always call to bring you home from a night club.  He actually enjoyed being asked by the bartender (another brother – Stephen) to take beautiful woman home that shouldn’t drive.  Why?  Because the guys would look at him, as if to say “How the heck did you get so lucky?!”

My brothers and I, along with the rest of our family, miss him very much. He is in no pain, can watch over us, and will probably be the one who plays tricks with those who knew him – because – why not!  So when life throws you a curve ball, look up and tell Pat hahahaha, you think this is funny, don’t you? And his dry sense of humor will live long after his death.

Love you,

Linda, your favorite sister!

Anee:

“We have missed a strong pillar of MSDS, Patrick. We were virtually connected and I will miss how ethically you used to talk. I pray for a happy place for you in Heaven.”

Saba:

Patrick, you were a great guy, a kind-hearted, sweet man who was really committed to his work. I never met you as we are in different countries but working together as a Team, You knew well how to work as a team. We used to hold our seats when you suddenly jumped into the system and we had to log out 😅
Ah! You will be remembered Pat. But you are at a better place now with your Mom and Dad. Rest in Peace!

Ifra:

“Pat, I have never met you but I am really shattered by hearing this sad news. May you be at a banquet with God today. Feeling well and looking down upon your loved ones as an Angel”

Chelsie:

Even though pat and I never worked face to face together, I really got to know him over the years from working with MSDS when he would call the office just to chat.  He had a very rare dry sense of humor.

Dr. Grube:

I want to say on behave of Dr. Grube, Julie, Gwyn, and myself that we were saddened to hear of the sudden passing of your brother Patrick.  I know he will be deeply missed.  Please know that our hearts and minds are full of thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

Dr. Bhatt’s office:

Patrick will be very missed by all. We will miss his diligence with scheduling and all of the quirky comments.
There is no replacing him! Rest in Peace Patrick, you were very loved.

Jeannie:

He was always fun to talk to and appreciated his calls. I am so sorry for your loss.

Family Friends:

– We’re so sorry for the loss of your brother.  Pat was always so kind and friendly.  Also so strong as he dealt with a lot.   Our thoughts are with you all.  Love, Rob, Dawn, Jess and Kyle.

Papa G:

I am so sorry for the loss of your brother Patrick.  May memories of the good times you shared together comfort you and warm your heart forever.  Pat impressed me as a person who endured physical pain and discomfort for many years, but who never complained about it, at least in the conversations we shared.

Dave, Jackie, Austin and Deven:

We are very sorry for the loss of Pat.  He seemed like such a great guy.  A nice temperament who always seemed so patient and kind.  We will be keeping you and your family in our thoughts and prayers.

A Poem From Patrick!

I’ll Be Waiting for You ..

Although your heart may be broken,
There’s no need to weep for me.
I’m in a wonderful place now,
Where I’m happy and so carefree.

I had to go, but I’ve left behind
Good memories to comfort you.
Concentrate on the best times we had,
And try not to feel so blue.

For one day we’ll be together again,
To laugh and sing and play.
You’ll be so glad to see me again,
It will seem I was gone just one day.

So try to lift up your heads now,
And dare to set grief aside,
Because I’ll be waiting here for you,
To welcome you to the other side.

A Poem to Patrick ..

God saw you getting tired
When a cure was not to be.
So He wrapped His arms around you,
And whispered, “Come up to me”.
You didn’t deserve what you went through,
And so He gave you rest.
God’s garden must be beautiful,
He only takes the best,
So when I saw you sleeping,
So peacefully and free from pain.
I could not wish you to come back,
to suffer that all again.
